A warm welcome to all new students and their families to our school. We look forward to having your family with us during 2019. The year is shaping up to be another busy but exciting one.
Friday 27 January saw all Liston College staff on their annual retreat. It was held at the Friary in Hillsborough. Brother Damien Price, Fr Peter Murphy and Mrs Monica Stowers were our guest presenters - the theme being "With All Your Heart". The day finished with Father Kevin Murphy leading us in the celebration of the Eucharist.
We once again have a full school roll, having reached our maximum as set by the Ministry of Education. A waiting list is now in place. Enrolments for 2020 are now open. Our Open Evening is being held on Wednesday 27 March. If you know families who wish their son to attend Liston, we encourage them to get their enrolment application in to the school office by the closing date of Friday 26 April.
NCEA Results for 2018
Congratulations to the staff and students who have worked hard to achieve excellent levels of success. I have shown a comparison with national figures to show how successful Liston College is in the NCEA achievement. I look forward to our current NCEA students contributing to even better results this year.

Tomorrow Schools Consultation
I have included information regarding the Taskforce responsible for reviewing the current model of managing schools. Information is as follows: The report by the Tomorrow’s Schools Independent Taskforce Our Schooling Futures: Stronger Together\Whiria Ngā Kura Tūātinitini was released in December 2018. The Independent Taskforce is now very keen to receive feedback from as many people as possible to help complete their final recommendations.
Public consultation on the report is now open and we really encourage school staff, board members, PTA members, parents, whānau and the wider school community to have their say on the future of our schooling system.
