This has been an eventful and significant term in relation to our Special Character programme at Liston College.
We began with our Inaugural Mass and the announcement of our Prefects for 2022. This was followed by our Ash Wednesday liturgies and the start of our Lenten journey.
On Saturdays, students and staff kindly volunteered their time and labour to help the Saint Vincent De Paul organisation with food parcel preparations.
Our student and staff community have given generously to support the countries of Ukraine and Tonga who have had devasting life changing experiences recently.
We also have supported Caritas a Catholic charity that supports the communities around the world that need help and the of supply necessities. Along with our ‘Can-drive’ for our almsgiving for Lent and Liston Day.
Our Mufti Day and fundraisers raised just over $3,500.00 well done to everyone . A special mention to Mrs Laing and her form class for their fundraising efforts along with Mr Mark Dunford, Manager and Old Boy at Lincoln Road Pak'nSave for his donation and discounted price for sausages and drinks.
Today, the student and staff community will participate in the Stations of the Cross liturgies led by our student leaders.
As we start the term holidays, we recognise the events of Holy Week. The struggles and challenges that our Saviour Jesus Christ went through and his death and resurrection. We live in hope and look forward to renewed life and energy through the resurrection of Jesus.
Have a blessed Easter break.
