Twenty year twelve students were fortunate enough to be selected to participate in the OPC leadership camp at Hillary Outdoors Tongariro, in March of 2019. The week was action-packed, full of adventures which included hiking, white water kayaking, caving, river crossing, and camping overnight in the rain.
The boys worked collectively as a team, to come up with solutions to problems and overcome the challenges we faced.
We had an absolute blast, and at the end of all this, we grew as a team, as individuals and became better leaders. We also learnt more about each other, including some people’s bad taste in music. Overall, a once in a life time opportunity that the boys will never forget.
We would like to thank Mr Swann and Mr Leathem for putting up with us, as well as the PTFA and the old boys for the funds and making it all happen.
