Liston College Navigation

Message From The Principal 24.07.20

Welcome back to term 3, which has certainly been a cool and wet start. However it has been good to start the term with more normality than the start of term 2.

I would like to thank the staff who gave their time to run tutorials or workshops over the school holidays. This is a tremendous help to the boys as they gear up for exams.

Things to be aware of are:

Teacher Only Day:  On Friday 7 August the teaching staff will be engaged with professional development to assist with the teaching and learning plans for students. This replaces the professional development usually held on Work Day, which has been cancelled this year.

There will be no classes on that day and students should not attend school, however supervision is available to students if you are unable to make care arrangements for your son. Buses will operate at the normal time.

Parent Teacher Evenings: Coming up on Wednesday 19 August and Thursday 20 August are the parent teacher evenings. On-line bookings will open on Monday 10 August. If you are unable to attend the evenings, you are welcome to make alternative arrangements to meet with your son’s teachers. The most effective means is to use email to communicate. Staff emails are on the contact page of our website.

Scholarships:  There are a number of scholarships available to Year 13 student who will be studying at tertiary institutions next year. If your son is in Year 13, encourage him to check the information from Mrs Shepheard. Some of these scholarships are worth significant sums of money and go a long way to paying tuition fees.

Enrolments: Enrolment applications for 2021 have now closed. Late enrolments will be accepted, however will be placed on a wait list.

God bless you and your families.
