I would like to thank you for your patience and support over the past seven weeks. I acknowledge this has been a very difficult time for you as parents and for your sons.
The distance learning experience is not one that most of the Liston boys would wish to continue. The unanimous feedback I get from the boys, is that they cannot wait to be back to school to be with their friends and connect with their teachers. This simply reinforces the importance of relationship building for effective teaching and learning.
I will repeat, we will have a learning recover plan ready for your son when we get back to Level 2 teaching. Do reassure your son that he will be given help to recover lost learning during the lockdown.
A Wellbeing Resource is available HERE. This gives practical advice you can share with your son.
I would like to thank the Prefects for their Virtual Assembly which is available today. Other videos available on our website are: Catholic Schools Day videos by the Social Justice Leaders and Prefects, as well as our new and exciting promotional video. Do take a look at these.
I do wish you all the best for the term break and ask you to continue to keep Kees and his family in your prayers.
Every blessing to you and your family.
Chris Rooney, Principal
