It has been great to see 90% student attendance throughout the school week despite this unsettling Omicron period.
After a difficult two years our boys are getting back into Liston Man routines and learning habits which is an important part of our recovery as a community.
During the next few months, I would like to reassure you that the school is closely following Ministry of Health guidelines. When an infectious case is inevitably recorded at school you will be notified directly by us if your son is deemed a close contact, with full next step instructions provided.
We have a capable and caring staff community at Liston and you will see below an introduction from our College nurse, Joe Auimatagi, who is part of our covid response team.
As always at any time please do contact us if you have any queries.
Congratulations to our Liston Men of the Week recipients:
- Year 7 = Jay Leighton for his commitment toward his learning and naturally embodying values of humility and respect
- Year 8 = Joseph Milham 8K for being kind and caring towards others
- Year 9 = Michael Tualasea for persevering and putting effort into his learning
- Year 10 = Gabe Joyce as he has demonstrated the values of being a good steward for example picking up rubbish when not told to and looking after the class environment.
- Year 11 = Cameron Eivers for his attitude and application on camp
- Year 12 = Armaan Singh helped with donated uniform and was punctual, polite and took the initiative to organise other activities at school
- Year 13 = Bronson Sammut for getting work done whilst being absent from school and liaising with his teachers about his learning
