The Liston College Kapa Haka group was praised by the Minister of Health after they performed a Haka Powhiri for the Waitakere DHB. The occasion was the opening of the new neo-natal intensive care ward. Guests included Crown Ministers Mr Little and Ms Verrall as well as Dame Naida Glavish and many other local dignitaries. All speakers spoke publicly about the all-round quality of the performance and the demeanour of the boys. They gave the school great mana. Congratulations to the younger boys, on their first Kapa Haka outing and the leaders Te Ruia Shepherd, Travis McDowall, Erazmus Betham and Sariesynn Fuiava.
