In 2023, we have had two Hockey teams representing the College - the 1st XI and a 2nd XI.
Hockey
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our coaches and managers for each team this season. We truly appreciate the hours of hard work and dedication you put into assisting our students to improve and succeed.
Our 1st XI team was co-coached by Mr Sam Baker and Mr Keith Miller, with Mrs Jinnette Laing managing the team once again. They continued to improve throughout the season and as most of this team is still in Year 10, this shows great promise for the future.
Our 2nd XI was coached by Mr Brendon Dunn and managed by Mr Gerry Bohte. Miss Gemma McQuaid also helped with managing the team on game days. This team did very well, only just missing out on the playoffs for their grade. This team included 6 boys from Year 7 and 8 as well as junior students.
Sport allows us to be able to develop Liston men. Our Hockey students put in a lot of effort to develop their technical skills, good sportsmanship and perseverance both on and off the field. Liston College looks forward to more hockey teams in 2024.
