Last year, current Year 13 Prefect Ethan Matiseni was awarded the Phil Twyford Internship Programme Award at our annual prizegiving. This award saw Ethan fly to Wellington and spend the week with Labour MP Phil Twyford, shadowing his busy weekly schedule. During the week in Wellington Ethan saw the inner workings of Parliament, sat in on Select Committee meetings and a Caucus meeting. Ethan also had the opportunity to have a meet and greet with Deputy Prime Minister Carmel Sepuloni. We look forward to more of our young men been offered this opportunity in the coming years.
