Liston College Old Boy and Auckland Blues team member, Adrian Choat was recently awarded the Iveco Blues Forward Player of the Year.
Adrian Choat is a flanker born and bred in West Auckland. A proud product of Liston College and the club of Waitemata, famous for producing the likes of Sir Michael Jones and Sione Lauaki.
Adrian played for the New Zealand Under 20s in 2017 before making his NPC debut for Auckland in 2018. He spent a brief stint in the UK with Bristol Bears as injury cover before returning to Auckland in 2020, spending an extended period of time with the Blues as an injury replacement player without taking the field.
In 2021 Adrian made his Super Rugby debut for the Blues against the Hurricanes in Wellington. He went on to make five appearances during the 2021 season, scoring his first try for the Blues against the Chiefs at Eden Park in Round 10 of Super Rugby Aotearoa.
Adrian Choat entered 2023 as a fully fledged squad member for the second consecutive season.
