Young Vinnies and Year 10 Retreats
Young Vinnies
On Thursday, 25 May, the Liston College and St Dominic’s College Young Vinnies worked collaboratively to prepare cooked meals for individuals and families who may go without. These young leaders demonstrated their commitment to putting their faith in action, dedicating time and effort to do something that will make a difference in the lives of those most in need.
Following the Cook Up two days earlier, our Young Vinnies leaders attended the St Patrick’s Cathedral commissioning mass on Saturday. It was a celebration and acknowledgement of their mission in leading the student body to render community service, in line with Edmund Rice Charism in looking out for the most vulnerable, “the last, the least and the lost”.
We encourage students looking for ways to make a positive impact within the school and wider community to get involved in our Young Vinnies programme.

Year 10 Retreats
Last week our Year 10s went on their one-day retreat at Te Pai Courts. Retreats are part of our Special Character programme.
The Retreats were led by Logos -a youth ministry group that present a fun and engaging day centered on our Catholic faith. Our students and staff enjoyed the opportunity to grow as Liston Men and interact with others in a different learning environment.
Thank you to all the RST staff that were involved with the retreats.
