Kia ora whānau,
Welcome back to our 2023 academic year.
We keep in our prayers the people from Turkey and North Syria after the devasting earthquake that struck these countries this week. Along with our own community who have been affected by the damaging floods last week. We pray for continued strength and comfort for these communities.
Our 2023 school theme comes from Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Kei te mōhio hoki ahau ki ngā whakaaro e whakaaro nei ahau ki a koutou,” e ai tā Ihowā, “he whakaaro mō te rongo mau, ehara mō te kino,
kia hoatu he tūmanako ki a koutou i ō koutou rā whakamutunga.”
Jeremiah 29:11 is reminder that God has a plan for us to prosper and to have hope for our future. We should not give up. We may be experiencing different situations such as illness, life after the pandemic or surviving a natural disaster. The verse tells us that these things are in passing and God has a plan. We are called to trust God and His process. For it is only in His process that we can be assured of hope for the future.
With our chosen theme, we remain hopeful that this year will be a successful, joyful, and rewarding year for all.
Nga mihi nui
