Liston College Navigation

Message from Steve Dooley, Principal 18.11.22

I am comfortable with education being an “uncomfortable” political talking point as politicians head into campaigning mode.

Dear Parents

Graduate outcomes, critical literacy, student attendance rates, respect for others - NZ schools once topped the world with these key factors. It is unacceptable we are now outside the top 30 on most International standings.

As parents, it is not unreasonable to expect these key factors to be delivered by your children’s school. We want our Liston parents invested with us.

Congratulations to:

  • Our Year 7-10 students for a big improvement in our new rubbish policy (no rubbish bins!). Boys are taking pride in their school and this will the first of several new environmental initiatives to be introduced.
  • Our senior students for working hard in study and extra tutorials with our teachers to reach important personal academic objectives before the end of the year.

Congratulations to our Liston Men of the Week:

  • Year 7 - Amaan Mohamed
  • Year 8  - Lachlan Howley
  • Year 9 - Mustafa Rajkotwala
  • Year 10 - Jaimee Grevel

Have an enjoyable weekend.
