His U18 New Zealand Katipo Team were 1st place in the Australian National Championships Teams Event (The Presidents’ Shield). His U21 NZ Katipo Team were 1st place in the Australian National Open Mens Championship Team Event (The Walter Rachuig Trophy Tournament). Kosei placed 6th equal in the Australian Open Mens Singles Championship.

Kosei's ranking is:

• Number 2 Youth Men's list 
• Number 11 on the Adult Men's list
