Qualifications Introduction

Liston College provides opportunities for students to achieve a range of nationally and internationally accepted qualifications, or credits towards a number of national certificates. The main qualification students are eligible to achieve is the National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA) at levels from 1 to 4. Students generally start to accumulate credits towards this certificate from Year 10. University Entrance is usually gained in conjunction with Level 3 NCEA (see criteria) Scholarship is often studied concurrently with NCEA level 3 and a separate set of exams is sat by students at the end of their Year 13 year. At Liston College there are many opportunities for academic achievement, whether a students wishes to pursue an academic or a vocational pathway. Our flexible and comprehensive curriculum provides real opportunities for each student to achieve and develop their full potential, whether it be spiritually, intellectually, aesthetically or physically. |
