Uniform Information
Information regarding Liston College Uniform requirements can be found on an attached sheet. While 2008 saw the introduction of a new Liston College uniform, all students must now wear the new school uniform.
The uniform is only available from:
Elizabeth Michael School Wear Shop,
357 New North Road,
Kingsland. Phone: 358 1680.
Limited supplies of the existing uniform are available from the Liston College PTFA.
Please note the following:
- All students must wear the new school uniform.
- There is to be no mixing of the old and new uniform – the present school jersey is the only exception.
Please be aware that students are required to wear the correct uniform at all times. In the past a number of students were wearing non-regulation clothing and shoes that were non-leather or had buckles/no laces or were sports shoes - these are not permitted. If you are unsure about any aspect of the school uniform, please contact Mr McKenty at School.
The school uniform will be sold from the College on Saturday 16 January, 10am – 1.00pm in the Gymnasium.Stationery Requirements
Information relating to your son's stationery requirements for 2010 can be found on the enclosed sheet. Warehouse Stationery is offering parents of students at Liston College the opportunity to purchase their stationery requirements online, with payment by credit card and door to door delivery. Students must have their stationery prior to school commencing. Specialised stationery may be purchased from the College. Where there is a fee for materials/equipment, this will need attending to as early as possible in Term 1.
School Diary.
This year all students from Years 7 to 13 are required to purchase a School Diary (cost $10 - to be invoiced later). Students will receive this from their Form Teacher in the first week of term. This diary has been specially printed for Liston College and contains information that is relevant to this school. It is a useful tool in aiding students’ time management skills as well as a means of recording events and homework. It can also be used for two-way communication between parents and teachers.
ID Card.
All students must have an ID card (cost $7.50 - to be invoiced later). This enables students access to the College Library and concessions such as reduced charges for transport. Students will be photographed on Monday 15th February, with a follow up day for those absent at a later date.
Progress Reports
These will be posted out midway through Term 1. These Reports will give you an indication of your son’s progress during the first term. In the last week of Term 1 (Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st March), there will be an opportunity for you to meet the teachers and discuss your son’s progress.
Parent Teacher Meetings
There will be opportunities for you to meet your son’s teachers in the first three weeks of the term. Important information, expectations and course outlines will be presented at this time. Dates and times are listed on the enclosed sheet.
School Starting Time
Please remember that school starts at 8.40 am with a Form Period and Prayer. Any student that is late is required to go to the Dean’s Office (up to 9.30am), then after this time to the School Office to receive a late slip for presentation to their Form Teacher. Please assist us by ensuring that your son(s) is at school on time.
Cell Phones and other Electronic Devices
The school takes no responsibility for loss or damage to cell phones or other electronic devices (including MP3 players, Ipods, diskman etc) brought to school by students. All students are to be reminded that all cell phones and other electronic devices are to be switched off in all classes (including form time) and under no circumstances are they to be used in the classroom.
