Dear Parents and Caregivers

Father & Son Family Breakfast
At the end of last term the Prefects held their Annual Father & Son Breakfast. This year, due to the time constraints of our guest speaker, Sir Graham Henry, the breakfast was held earlier than usual. This year, it was also opened up to all family members and friends. Sir Graham was an excellent speaker, sharing stories of his time as the All Black's coach as well as his career prior to being a coach. A photo book of the morning has been produced which is available for viewing in the admin foyer as well as electronically. If you would like to view it electronically, please email: info@liston.school.nz and a link will be sent to you.

Work Day
The Work Day on Tuesday 15 September, will raise funds to landscape a seating area outside the Science and Library block. Full details of requirements of the day are noted below and have been sent home with your son. School will be not be open on this day - 15 September, however supervision is available at the College for students who have been unable to find work. Please contact Mr McKenty if your son needs supervision.

We are continuing to process enrolment applications for 2016. If you are intending to enrol your son for next year or you are aware of someone else in this position, please contact my P.A. Deirdre Auger and she will advise you of the next steps in the enrolment process.

Japanese Visitors
We have groups of students from Japanese schools visiting the College. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Paul Houghton for the work he does in coordinating these visits. The feedback from visiting teachers and students has been very positive.

Tutoring Programmes
Several teachers are offering tutoring for your son after school or on a Saturday. You will also shortly be advised of the holiday tutoring programme for the next school holidays. I strongly suggest your son takes advantage of these opportunities to help achieve well in NCEA exams. We are fortunate we have staff who willing give their time to help the boys in this way.

On Tuesday evening the PTFA held their AGM. If you were not able to attend the meeting but would like to be involved in the PTFA, please email Annette Campbell. New members are most welcome.
