Scripture Quote

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:12,13

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:18-19

Dear Parents and Caregivers

Prizegiving
Thank you to everyone involved in our Prize Giving held on Tuesday 1 November - attended by special guests, including parents/caregivers, who came along to help celebrate with us.  Congratulations to Daniel Scherrer who is our Dux for 2016 and to Jun Kim, Proxime Accesit 2016.  Mrs Jinnette Laing was presented with the Frank Huckle Cup for 'Teacher of the Year 2016' and the Edmund Rice Cup for 'Outstanding Contribution to the Life of the School 2016' went to Mr Daniel Morath. Congratulations to you all and to the other students and teams who received awards on Tuesday.

Mr Suresh Chandra was acknowledged at the Prize Giving for his 25 years at Liston College. A presentation was made to Mr Chandra by the Board of Trustees.

I thank the Board of Trustees, staff, students and the Liston College community for their acknowledgements to myself as I celebrated 40 years at Liston.  It was an honour to have Bishop Pat, who has been a strong supporter of the College, attend the End of Year Mass. It was also great to have so many parents able to attend.

Exams
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage our students to study for their exams and to be prepared to make some sacrifices during the time available. Please remember that teachers are willing to help seniors during study leave.  I wish all the students the very best for their upcoming exams and for a successful end of year.

End of Year Activities
There are several activities coming up over the remaining four weeks of school. The Year 10 Camp, Wider Living Days and the Sport and Education Initiative for Year 9 students. I am sure the boys will enjoy these initiatives.

God Bless you and your families.
